- Dr. Wansuo Duan is a Professor from Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He achieved the National top-100 Excellent PhD Dissertation Award and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He concurrently serves as Secretary-General of the China National Committee for the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS), Vice Chair of the Numerical Prediction of the Earth System Committee of the Chinese Meteorological Society, and as an editor for journals including SCIENCE CHINA Earth Sciences, Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics, and Advances in Atmospheric Sciences. His research focuses on dynamics of weather and climate predictability, targeted observations, data assimilation, ensemble forecasting, and applications of artificial intelligence. His work has been recognized with the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award.[PDF]
